This little tile piece just went home this morning. It’s one of the images on my Catalog page. The client had me do it on almond tile rather than white.
Here’s an old one, from several years ago, that I just got a picture of. It’s a reproduction of a Tibetan Buddhist cave painting. Yes. I really will paint any image you want on tile!
This is the third wall of this large mural, the back wall behind the tub and below the window. There will be some of the wavy water stuff over the window, but no fish up there.
Here’s the second side wall of this three-wall mural. It featiures a great white shark, because the client once went diving with them.
This is one side wall of a tub surround in progress. The client is a diver and sent me all he fish pictures. The mural will wrap around the back wall and another side wall.
Just got pictures of this job installed. It’s in what used to be a closet under a sloping roof. The image is Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains at sunset, from a photo taken by the client from the street in front of his house in Ballard.
This is what all the sections of painted tile for this shower looked like after the final firing. They’ll be distributed on two walls of the shower and over the vanity mirror. It will probably be a while till I get to see the completed piece as they are not planning on doing this till August.
This is what those sections of the mural look like after the second firing.
Just starting another nice tile mural. Just to show you that china paint doesn’t change much in the firing, here are two sections of it. The first photo of each is before the first firing, the second is after.
This is what the mural looked like after the third and final firing. I did a little more deepening a few colors here and there, but mostly I did black outlines. Most china painters don’t outline like this, but most china painters are working on much smaller objects. I need this image to read from across the room. It’s now ready to be installed, and it’s been delivered. No telling when the room will be done. Sometimes it’s months. But this one is local so I’ll probably get to go see it. Stay tuned.
