Here’s another image from my catalogue. I’ve done this one several times as you can see on my Shop page, https://www.paullewingtile.com/shop/heron-friends. There’s a picture of this mural installed in a kitchen.
The great blue heron continues to be the most requested bird for tile murals, all over the country. This one just found a home in Virginia. It’s china paint on commercial tile. You can learn how I do this at my upcoming workshop at Plinth Gallery in Denver, or at www.TeachinArt.com.
This is the little kitchen backsplash that was in my last post, but now it’s been installed.
This little mural had a troubled history, with several miscommunications and false starts, but we finally got it done and shipped off. It’s almost an exact duplication of one of my acrylic paintings. It’s china paint on 4 1/4” tiles.
I’ve done this Heron & Friends design many times, usually for either a kitchen backsplash or the back wall of a shower enclosure. Here it’s little bigger than I normally make it and installed in a spa or sauna.
